Welcome to ACLED's Travel Notification Guidelines!

As a remote organization with staff based all over the world, one of ACLED’s primary concerns is digital security and the physical safety of its team members. All those working for ACLED need to have a heightened awareness of digital security issues and their personal environment, and make sure they follow the organization’s digital security and physical safety guidelines. 

To better support ACLED's risk management strategy, the Operations team has partnered with an external consultant, HP Risk Management and utilizes their online risk assessment platform, RiskPal.

To help mitigate potential security risks, ACLED asks all of its staff members to notify the Operations team when traveling internationally and sometimes within the same country both for personal reasons or on behalf of ACLED using the new platform: RiskPal.
