Every ACLED team member will be given their personal RiskPal account (this includes all staff members). Once you have received the welcome email from RiskPal you can activate your account by clicking the email link and creating a new password.
During the account activation, you may be sent an SMS from Twilio Authy 2FA to install the Authy multi-factor authentication application. Two-Step Authentication is a requirement for accessing RiskPal. If you do not receive an SMS code with the installation link you can access Twilio Authy via the app store or by following this link https://www.authy.com/install on your phone.
Once you have successfully installed the Twilio Authy app, enter your international country code in the ‘+Code’ field followed by your cellphone number.
Important: Do not include the 0 at the beginning of your number. Click ‘OK’ and enter your RiskPal username email.
Verify your account via either SMS or phone call and set up is complete. Once verified, the Twilio Authy will open and you should see a 7-digit token. This is the number you need to enter each time you log in to RiskPal.
And now you should be all set with creating and logging in to your RiskPal account!
If you have any further questions regarding how to create your RiskPal account, please reach out to ACLED’s Operation team (operations@acleddata.com).
